Originally designed for the transport of precious goods along the revered Spice Islands trade route in the 17th century, phinisis are traditional two-masted ships whose generational craft has been recognised by UNESCO as the epitome of Indonesian sailing heritage.
Handcrafted using only the finest Ulin Ironwood, Dunia Baru is the grande dame of phinisis. Her craftsmanship and artistry by the renowned Konjo Boat Builders from South Sulawesi is proudly displayed in all areas of the yacht from her perfectly balanced hull down to the joinery of her latches.
Designed to facilitate gatherings between family and friends, she boasts expansive decks and spacious interiors for the ultimate in relaxation and play. Plush Sunbrella fabrics have been specifically selected, allowing for luxurious lounging throughout the yacht.
Bespoke itineraries are created for each voyage. Wellness, culture and diving journeys are crafted to suit the preferences of those onboard for the ultimate private travel experience. Expert-led trips in the areas of marine biology, textile and photography can be arranged upon request.
Our conservation commitments span the areas of marine research, education, as well as medical and emergency aid. We invite our guests to approach us should they wish to contribute to any of these activities during their charter with us.
